Post-Installation Inspection and NZS5828 Certification
Is your new playground up to safety standards? Playsafe's certified inspection can give you peace of mind.
Our inspection includes a comprehensive assessment by a Level 3 RPII certified inspector to verify compliance with the NZS5828:2015 standard. We check for structural stability, body entrapments, falling spaces, impact areas, materials and finishes, as well as quality control and construction workmanship.
Our inspection report will identify any non-compliances and provide recommendations. Once any non-compliance issues are rectified, we'll issue a Compliance Certificate for your new play area.
An independent post-installation inspection is mandatory to ensure compliance with the NZS5828:2015 standard, and Playsafe offers this service with a certified Level 3 inspector. During the warranty and shakedown period, our inspector will assess the quality control, construction workmanship, and general hazards to verify compliance with NZS5828:2015. We provide a comprehensive digital report with photos, risk assessment, and recommendations.
Our inspection covers a wide range of areas, including hazard inspection, structural stability check, compliance audit to NZS5828:2015, dimensional entrapment check, fall zones, impact areas, and freespace assessment, free height of fall and critical fall height check, an inspection of play equipment and landscaping features, an inspection of materials and finishes, play safety surface assessment, risk assessment, and recommendations.
Once the requirements of NZS5828 are satisfied, we'll issue a Compliance Certificate. Any non-compliance issues identified during the post-installation inspection must be rectified within 30 days before the final certificate is issued. Please note that we may require photo evidence of rectification work, but a second inspection is not necessary. The certificate is subject to the final satisfaction of Playsafe.
